Growing Into Green

Erin Mikael is not an environmentalist. In fact, she didn't even recycle... until now. Every Thursday on San Diego Living, Erin takes you along on her journey as she Grows Into Green from the ground up. Together, you'll learn the simple ways to "go green" and create your own eco-friendly lifestyle. (And you don't have to be an environmentalist, hippie, or tree-hugger to do it!)

Message from Erin: Ok, I admit it. I haven't always been kind to the planet. I may have mixed glass with plastic, bought the wrong light bulbs, and probably have more plastic Target bags than any sane person should. But that's all about to change. No matter what side of the global warming debate you're on, I think we can all agree that it can't hurt to be a little more considerate to the world around us. I'm convinced that there are some easy, practically painless steps we can all take to live a more "green" lifestyle.

So starting now, I am a student of environmental living, and I can't wait to share everything I learn with you. I hope you'll watch "Growing Into Green" and give some of my tips a try. Let me know how it's working at your house. And if you have a great green idea, email me!
