As a result of the recent San Diego County wildfires, hundreds of pets have been separated from their owners. Volunteers from all over San Diego County fanned out throughout the region to rescue stranded animals. Many good Samaritans rescued stranded animals, and took them to facilities far from the evacuated neighborhoods where they were found.
If you are searching for a lost pet, remember to hang signs in your neighborhood where the animal went missing. Search ALL San Diego animal shelters, even those outside of your neighborhood, as many pets were relocated in shelters far from home.
To help assist owners recover their displaced pets, FOX 6, in cooperation with the local San Diego County animal shelters below, has created this Wildfire Lost Pet Search website resource. Click on each of the shelter links below to search their photo database for your lost pet. Links to shelter websites and contact information is also provided below to assist you with contacting any of the shelters should you find your pet.
