Zoe Chipalla
A native of Rockford, Illinois and an ambitious journalist, Zoe is committed to research, the truth, and making a difference in the lives of those who allow her to tell their stories.
She comes to FOX6 Milwaukee from WIFR-TV in Rockford, where she started as an intern in 2020, before working her way up to anchoring evening newscasts.
In that time, Zoe reported on several stories that made state, regional, and national headlines, including the theft of a funeral van holding a body, the Chemtool Plant explosion, and the Apollo Theatre’s deadly roof collapse. She also solo anchored a severe weather report nominated for an Chicago-Midwest Emmy Award.
Zoe graduated from Illinois State University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Journalism. When she’s not working, she’s lost in a book, or finding a new true crime podcast to start. Tempted to try anything at least once, Zoe enjoys anything thrill-seeking, like ziplining or whitewater rafting, going to concerts and comedy clubs, and taking her dog, Ginger, on hikes. Some of her other passions include musical theater, singing, traveling, shopping, and cooking.
Zoe is so excited to make Wisconsin her new home, and put her skills and experience to work for the greater Milwaukee community. If you run into her, don’t hesitate to say hi!
